You can manage item catalogues for your approved vendor list in PLANERGY. Entire catalogues can be added to the system for specific vendors if needed. This can be used to enforce tight control over what the individual users can buy but it’s most straightforward use is to ensure items are added with the correct detail and pricing. You can then report back on ordering in the system by item as needed.

From the main page of the Items section you can view, edit or add new items. Depending on your permissions you may not see all of these options.

  1. New Item
    Button to add a single item. This will bring you to the Add Item page where you can enter details for a single item.
  2. Edit Items
    Button to select multiple items to edit and call the multi-edit popup screen. The items selected using the checkboxes on the right hand side of the items search results will be selected for editing.
  3. New Items
    Button to call the popup screen for adding multiple new items.
  4. Clone Items
    Button to create new items with the same details as an item selected using the checkboxes on the right hand side of the Item Search results.
  5. Number of Clones
    Set the number of new items to create with the same details as the items you have selected to clone.
  6. Item Search Fields
    Search options to narrow the results of the item search or export. The search fields can be combined as needed to return the specific list of items. Fill the search fields and click the Search button to update the search results below. Use the export button to export the data to a CSV format spreadsheet.
  7. Include Archived
    Switch to set if archived items are included in the search results. By default archived items are excluded from the results and exports. Click the switch to include archived items in the search results or export file.
  8. Export CSV
    Button to generate a CSV file containing the details of all items listed in the Item Search results.
  9. Search
    Button to run a search of the item list. After clicking this button the item search results will be updated showing only results that match what is set in the search fields.
  10. Item Search Results
    The list shows the items that match the search parameters filled in the Item Search. By clicking an item in the list you can go to the Item Edit page for that item. The default search results show only active items but you can see any archived or inactive items by editing the fields in the search.
